Lasting Memories Ch. 35 Sketch - 12 x 12 Layout "AAHH!"

Happy Thursday everyone!!  Which means almost the weekend!!  The title of my layout is how I feel right about now!  I feel relieved that I completed the 4th challenge LMCH 35 during the month of April to qualify for the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges DT call.  The "Aahh" title is actually my kiddos screaming with glee and fright while riding the caterpillar rollercoaster at the Fair over this last summer.  Pretty funny.  If I don't get the DT... I still plan on playing along with their challenges... for I have completed pages for my books.  A good feeling right there.  They have kept me motivated with some fun stuff each week.
Here is my submission: (Photo needs to be taken in natural daylight for better idea on colors)

And here is the sketch I was to follow...

Instead of embellishing the bottom right corner of the main photo... I chose to use a smaller photo of the kids in action.  It really tells the whole story!!  I giggle every time I look at it.  The title is a cute paper pieced caterpillar out of circle punches... and the rest is pretty self explanatory.  Hope you like.  Thanks for stopping by.  Any feedback VERY welcome!! Nighty night!!

Supplies:
All Stampin' Up... unless otherwise notes.

Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange, Glorious Green

Waterskiing 12 x 12 layout - Lasting Memories Ch. 33

HI all!  I have a Fun layout to share with all of you.  I'm in the mood for summer... and this did it for me.  This is My Dad and I waterskiing at our frequented summer vacation spot 2 summers ago.  My dad is 63 in these pictures... and he skis like he is 18.  He's still GOT IT!!  And everything I have learned about waterskiing and driving the boat... I learned all from him!!  Thanks Dad!!  I am entering this into the Lasting Memories  33 "Journaling" challenge.  And also for their DT call!!  I love the band Bon Jovi... and in the corner of my layout I put some of the lyrics from the song "Have a Nice Day"  that describe how I feel when I am out on the water skiing.  Like nothing else matters for those mere 10 minutes.

I'll be back with more later on the details of the supplies and more pics... gotta rush to soccer games
Happy Saturday all.
I also need to mention that I sort of followed Sketch 3.10 from Sketchy Thursdays but did not do it exactly.  It helped me to get started if anything.

Rollin' into Spring 12 x 12 layout

Ahhh... with all this rain and colder than normal temps, it is a little gratifying to complete a layout all about Spring!!  Here I am sharing with you the moment that our Daughter tried her brand new 6th birthday rollerskates for the first time.  She was pretty timid at first... looking for the grass most of the time... knowing if she fell, it wouldn't hurt quite as much.  But she got better and better and more daring and adventurous as the afternoon went on.
I used the color combo from PPC Crafty Challenges 54.  A new challenge starts tomorrow... so I sort of got this one in under the gun.  I am also entering this into Lasting Memories Ch 32 - Spring is in the Air as a part of their DT call.  I missed the "Prize" time for the challenge but am attempting to accomplish all 4 challenges for the month of April.  (Wish me luck)

Spring Break & I am a new Design Team Member for Picture Perfect Creations!!

Good weekend to you all!!  I have not been in my craft space much of the week... with very good reason!!  The kids have been on Spring Break, have watched a few movies, played a few games, nursed terrible colds, celebrated a few birthdays, kids have started soccer, Hubby and I actually had a date night and we all had a small family bike ride today!!  My good bloggy friend, Michele from Michele Hearts Paper would highly approve of this blog post.  She is an AVID bike rider!!  Go check her out as well... she does wonderful Cards!!  (Hi Michele!  :-)  )

I also get to announce to all of you that I was just chosen as one of the new Design Team Members for PPC - Picture Perfect Creations challenge blog.  I am very excited and can't wait to share my creations.  So much inspiration to check out and get your creative juices flowing.  Their challenges start every Monday!  Would love for you to stop by and play along!!

Since I don't have a crafty project to share with you tonight, I'll share some fun pictures from a few days this week that simply make me smile and remind myself of WHY I scrapbook as much as I can and WHY life is pretty darn WONDERFUL! Enjoy!!

Ahhh... kiddos are growing up.

My son and I.  A little cloudy and chilly... but we didn't care.  Yes we need to invest in some helmets (us adults)... but I was going sooo slow that my bike came out of gear.  Pretty non-strenuous!!

And again!  All smiles!

 Hubbs and Son.  :-)

Daughter, Hubbs and Son

And finally... Thank you and WELCOME to all of my new followers over the last few weeks.  It's fun to receive fun comments and meet new friends.  I think I have stopped by most of you... but if I have missed you somehow... please let me know so I can come say hello!

Wish Big Birthday card - CQC 78, Mojo 184 and Birthday Sundaes Ch 3

Good morning all!  It's a month of BIRTHDAYS around here!  Here is another card I have to share with you.  This is one of my all time favorite color combinations and I really like how this one turned out.  I have to admit though... as I was finishing this up last night, I thought this looked a little more like a wedding card.  I liked this stamp so much.. .I had to use it... and I surely wasn't going to start over.  The person I am giving this to is "Elegant" and "Beautiful"...so it fits her personality to a tee.  My daughter just said "Mom, it will work."  :-)
I used the color combo from over at Colour Q Challenge 78   and the sketch from Mojo Monday 184.  I highly recommend both of these challenge blogs for inspiration and a challenge.  It's my first time playing at Colour Q (after paroozing it for months) and the Mojo Monday has been one of my favorite GOTO places.  I am also entering it into Birthday Sundaes Challenge #3 (Anything Birthday).  I just recently found this challenge blog through one of my new followers Kreative Kristie,  and it looks like a fun one.  Go take a look and participate!!
